| Hey everyone,
Yeah, i haven't changed the picture yet cuz i haven't found one that's satisfactory. I'm kinda workin' on it though.
Anyway, quick updates. 1) Saw Starwars Ep3 and I liked it. It was better than Ep's 1&2 but not as good as the originals (ep's 4-6). I thought it was great how they showed Anakin's transformation and his internal struggles with the dark side and didn't it just break your heart when Natalie Portman said "Ani, you're breaking my heart". awwww <sob>. 2) I thought Spring Camp went well. I'm encouraged by the questions everyone asked because of the sessions and small group discussions. Keep on searching for the truth. Everyone who helped out did a great job and is much appreciated. 3) Can't wait to watch Batman Begins. 4) For anyone who missed the season finale of CSI (written and directed by Quentin Tarantino), try to catch it. It was an excellent episode. 5) Can't wait to read the Chronicles of Narnia and watch the first movie in December.
Ok, now to the serious stuff. In recent weeks I've noticed a lot of things that have been written on blogs that are quite negative in nature. Now, this message isn't directed to individuals but to everyone. I understand that sometimes you may be feeling angry, frustrated, annoyed, etc. and want to express that feeling on your blog but please think about what you actually write. As a forum, I think sites like Xanga are wonderful but they can also be terrible if not used properly. Negative comments directed at an individual or group of individuals can often be insulting, embarassing, rude, and very hurtful, especially when written in a public forum. I think extra wisdom, maturity, and care should be used in these situations. Think about the people you write about. It's often much easier to let yourself get carried away when writing in blogs because you don't have someone reacting to your statements that you can see. Now I'm not saying you should only write positive stuff about yourself and not share how you really feel, but just use some judgement when writing. If you have a problem with someone or a group of people, share it with them, not the whole world.
If you use the argument "if you don't want to read it, then don't read it", understand that it is a flawed argument. 1) We read blogs because we're a friend and/or we're interested, 2) it's public, 3) because we are the audience that the blog is directed to. If you don't want someone to read it, don't put it up on the net. Blogs are not diary books with a lock and key where there is only one copy that you hide. It is you telling everyone what you think whether intentional or not.
So again, be mindful of what you write on your Blogs.
